Sarah Jones せんせい

Hello. My name is Sarah Jones and I’m from Dallas, Texas (you might have heard of Texas because of the baseball player Yu Darvish.)

I came to Japan in 2007 because I was interested in Japanese culture. I taught at Futaba High School for about four years and came to love Fukushima.

At the time of the March 11 earthquake I was in Futaba. I evacuated with the other people from Futaba and later went back to America. While I was in America, I hoped that I would get a chance to come back to Japan.

I was able to return to Japan this March and have enjoyed working in Haramachi’s Junior High and Elementary Schools.

Thank you for letting me be a part of Minamisoma!
